Biography

Holly Jarman, PhD is an Associate Professor of Health Management and Policy and Global Public Health and the Co-Lead for Policy and Dissemination with the Center for the Assessment of Tobacco Regulations at University of Michigan. As a political scientist, she researches the impact of market regulations and trade agreements on domestic health and social policies, with a focus on the United States and European Union. Her work has been published in journals which include The Lancet, Government and Opposition, European Journal of Public Health, Journal of Public Health Policy, BMJ Tobacco Control, and Public Policy and Administration. Her monograph, The Politics of Trade and Tobacco Control, published by Palgrave Macmillan press, explores the consequences of trade law for tobacco control policies. Professor Jarman holds PhD and Master of Research degrees in Political Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA Honors degree in British Politics and Legislative Studies from the University of Hull, UK.
