ABOUT THE SUMMIT

The inaugural E-Cigarette Summit was held at the Royal Society in London in November 2013, at a critical point in history when both public health experts and regulators were negotiating the TPD (European Tobacco Products Directive) and grappling with a consumer-driven product on an unprecedented growth trajectory.

Now entering our 14th year in London and 10th year in Washington, D.C., the event name has been updated to the Nicotine Summit to reflect the evolving nicotine product and user landscape.

Over the last decade, the Summits have provided a neutral meeting point for scientists, regulators, industry, public health professionals, and practitioners to explore the latest independent research and to facilitate respectful debate on complex and often highly controversial issues. The aim is to ensure that disparate views can be explored in the context of a common aim: to reduce smoking-related death and disease.

Smooth Events has a proven track record of producing high-level conferences and events in the scientific, public health, and human rights fields.

A copy of the presentations from previous events can be found on the Resources page alongside video presentations.
